United Evangelical Lutheran Church’s WELCA group is active throughout the year, sponsoring events like pizza parties at Lock Haven University, raising funds for the Homeless Task Force, collecting Campbell’s Soup labels for local schools, contributing to Samaritan’s Purse at Christmas for children in need, contributing money for blankets for third world countries, collecting food for the St. Paul Lutheran Church Food Pantry, collecting food for the Salvation Army, collecting books and puzzles for Clear Vision (a facility for troubled teenage girls ages 11 to 19, and collecting ink cartridges, cell phones and paper products for the Clinton County Women’s Center.
