HELPING HANDS:Each month we will be asking for specific donations to be handed out during the Helping Hands sessions. For the month of Novemberwe are asking for donations of small toys or books for kids. All donations can be dropped off at United during normal office hours, or contact Wendy Seyler (570) 502-0683. As always, your kindness is greatly appreciated.

ONE-GALLON CHALLENGE:The Clinton County Ministerium is sponsoring their annual fund drive to help our brothers and sisters who struggle to heat their homes each winter. Everyone is asked to donate the cost of one gallon of fuel ($4.00). The initial gathering of monetary gifts will take place at the community Thanksgiving service, but please consider additional gifts throughout the winter.

PARISH OFFICEwill be closed on Thurs., Nov. 28thin observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal office hours will resume on Mon., Dec. 2nd.

PROTESTANT CAMPUS MINISTRYwill be collecting items for study bags to give the students at LHU prior to finals week! Each church associated with PCM has been given specific items to collect as part of their giveaway. Our items to collect are fruit cups. Please drop all any donations to United by Sun., Dec. 1st. PCM will be putting the study bags together on Wed., Dec. 4thfrom 10-12 Noon. Volunteers are needed to assemble the bags and distribute them to the students. Please contact Pastor Runser if you are able to assist.

WELCAwill hold their next meeting on Tues., Dec. 3rdbeginning at 11:30 AM at Fox’s Restaurant. 

THANKSGIVING EVE Community Service will be held on Wed., Nov. 27thbeginning at 7:00 PM at Lamar United Methodist Church.

+SERVICES FORDecember will be held at Salona at 10:30 AM.

+A COLLECTIONwill be taken on the first Sunday of each month to benefit St. Paul’s Food Pantry.

POINSETTIAS:Orders have begun! The price is $5.50 per plant. Deadline for ordering is Sun., Dec. 8. No orders will be taken after this date. Sign-up sheet is available in the Sunday School Room.

SALONA CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGwill be held on Sun., Dec. 8thfollowing the worship service.

ST. PAUL’S CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGis scheduled for Sun., Dec. 8thfollowing the worship service. 

POTLUCK LUNCHEONwill be held on Sun., Dec. 8thfollowing the congregational meeting. Please bring a dish to share.

+CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGS:St. John and St. Paul’s, Loganton will hold their congregational meetings on Sun., Dec. 1stfollowing the worship service. A soup & sandwich luncheon will follow the meetings. Please plan on attending both!

+ST.JOHN is seeking a new treasurer beginning on January 2020. If you are interested, please speak to Leo or to the pastor.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Altar Guild is looking for volunteers to assist in setting up and removing altar and communion items each week. Please contact Jean McKeague for more information.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Will you be attending the Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day services? We are in need of Ushers, an Assisting Minister, a Communion Assistant, and an Acolyte/Crucifer. If you are interested, please contact the office.

ADVENT DECORATINGwill take place following the worship service TODAY. Your help is greatly appreciated.

CONGREGATIONAL MEETINGwill be held on Sun., Dec. 15thfollowing the worship service. We will approve the 2020 Proposed Budget and the election of council members. Packets will be available for your review in the tables in the narthex. A brunch will follow the meeting. Please plan on attending both!

PLEASE JOIN USfor brunch on Sun., Dec. 15thfollowing the congregational meeting. The brunch will be held in Fellowship Hall. A love offering will be taken. All proceeds will benefit Camp Kids.

GOD’S GLOBAL BARNYARDis a part of the ELCA’s Good Gifts campaign. The ELCA recognizes that an animal can make a world of difference for a family in need. Animals provide food to eat, fertilizer to grow crops and offspring to sell at a market. With one gift, we can help a family escape the cycle of hunger and poverty for good. A donation box is located on the table in the first floor hallway. Please help our Sunday School and Youth Bible Study as they help a family in need.
