HELPING HANDS:Each month we will be asking for specific donations to be handed out during the Helping Hands sessions. For the month of Novemberwe are asking for donations of small toys or books for kids. All donations can be dropped off at United during normal office hours, or contact Wendy Seyler (570) 502-0683. As always, your kindness is greatly appreciated.

ONE-GALLON CHALLENGE:The Clinton County Ministerium is sponsoring their annual fund drive to help our brothers and sisters who struggle to heat their homes each winter. Everyone is asked to donate the cost of one gallon of fuel ($4.00). The initial gathering of monetary gifts will take place at the community Thanksgiving service, but please consider additional gifts throughout the winter.

PARISH OFFICEwill be closed on Thurs., Nov. 28thin observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal office hours will resume on Mon., Dec. 2nd.

PROTESTANT CAMPUS MINISTRYwill be collecting items for study bags to give the students at LHU prior to finals week! Each church associated with PCM has been given specific items to collect as part of their giveaway. Our items to collect are fruit cups. Please drop all any donations to United by Sun., Dec. 1st. PCM will be putting the study bags together on Wed., Dec. 4thfrom 10-12 Noon. Volunteers are needed to assemble the bags and distribute them to the students. Please contact Pastor Runser if you are able to assist.

WELCAwill hold their next meeting on Tues., Dec. 3rdbeginning at 11:30 AM at Fox’s Restaurant. 

THANK YOUto everyone who purchased Ham & Bean Soup on Election Day. A total of $831 was received to benefit Helping Hands.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Altar Guild is looking for volunteers to assist in setting up and removing altar and communion items each week. Please contact Jean McKeague for more information.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Will you be attending the Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day services? We are in need of Ushers, an Assisting Minister, a Communion Assistant, and an Acolyte/Crucifer. If you are interested, please contact the office.

THANK YOUto everyone who donated towards Blanket Sunday during the month of October. A total of $115 was received and send to the Upper Susquehanna Synod.

+OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD demonstrates God’s love to hurting children in a tangible way by partnering with churches worldwide to deliver gift-filled shoeboxes and the Good News of Jesus Christ. Remember to choose a gender/age group of the child you are purchasing items for. All shoeboxes can be dropped off on the tables in the 1stfloor hallway of United until TODAY. Brochures and bookmarks are available. Empty shoeboxes are available on the tables to use for your donations.Toothpaste & candy are no longer allowed in the shoeboxes due to customs regulations. WELCA has generously agreed to pay for all shipping costs.

COUNCILwill meet on Tues., Nov. 19 at 6:30 PM. Item on the agenda include approving the 2020 proposed budget.
