HELPING HANDS:Each month we will be asking for specific donations to be handed out during the Helping Hands sessions. For the month of Julywe are asking for donations of shower gel and cleaners. All donations can be dropped off at United during normal office hours, or contact Wendy Seyler (570) 502-0683. As always, thank you for assisting us in branching out on our own to help us service our community better.

SUMMER CONCERTS: Lamar Lighthouse Camp will host their concert series each Sunday throughout the summer. This year the concerts will be held at the Cedar Heights Brethren In Christ Church, Mill Hall due to structural issues in the Tabernacle. Below is a list of the summer schedule. All concerts begin at 7:00 PM and are FREE. A love-offering will be taken.

+COMING IN JULY:Wednesday night Bible Study. We will read and discuss the book of Genesis. We will meet at United at 6:30 PM, starting July 3rd. Come and bring a friend!

+JOINT COUNCILis scheduled for Thurs., July 11thbeginning at 7:00 PM at St. Paul, Mill Hall.

+BLOCK PARTY:Christians with Rhythm Block Party will be held at St. Mark, Syndertown on Sat., July 13 beginning at 5 PM. Entertainment by The Second Wings Band and Christians for Rhythm Choir. There will be activities for the kids and great food. Bring your lawn chair and come join the free fun! Please bring a non-perishable food items to be contributed to local food banks. Rain date is Sun., July 14 (rain or shine).



+SERVICES FORJuly will be held at St. Paul, Mill Hall at 10:30 AM.

+A COLLECTIONwill be taken on the first Sunday of each month to benefit St. Paul’s Food Pantry.

+SALONA COUNCILwill not meet in June, July, or August.

+ST. PAUL COUNCILwill not meet in June, July, or August.

+ATLAT FLOWERS are given to the Glory of God andin memory of my loving parents, Ken and Charlotte Shuey, by Shelly Weaver.



+SERVICES FORJuly will be held at St. John, Booneville beginning at 10:30 AM.



+ST.JOHN’S COUNCILwill not meet in June, July, or August.

+ST. PAUL’S COUNCILwill not meet in June, July, or August.

+ICE CREAM SOCIAL:Sugar Valley United Methodist Charge Annual Ice Cream Festival will be held on Sat., July 13thfrom 4-7 PM at the Booneville Campground. Homemade ice cream, pie, hot sausage, hamburgers and hot dogs will be available. Music by Carl and Opal.


+SERVICESwill be held at 9:00 AM.

+ALL PRAYER CHAIN requests should be directed to Lena Welsh at (570) 748-3787.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Altar Guild is looking for volunteers to assist in setting up and removing altar and communion items each week. Please contact Jean McKeague for more information if you are interested in volunteering.

COOL WHIP containers needed! Please drop off empty Cool Whip containers on the tables in the first floor hallway. We use these to transport our altar flowers each week.

ATLAR FLOWERopenings on Sun., Nov. 10th.   If you would like to sponsor flowers on this date, please contact Michele in the office.

SUMMER COLLECTION:WELCA will collect items over the months of June, July & August to benefit the Women’s Center. Items needed include: paper towels, hand soap, Clorox wipes, feminine products, detergent, trash bags, kids snacks, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. Donations can be dropped off in the box located in the first floor hallway until the end of August.

THANK YOU:The Family of Dana Stiening (Powell) would like to thank Pastor Runser for the beautiful service on June 26th. We would also like to thank all who helped with the luncheon and provided food after the service. You are greatly appreciated. All the thoughts, prayers, and cards were very comforting.
