HELPING HANDS:Each month we will be asking for specific donations to be handed out during the Helping Hands sessions. For the month of Junewe are asking for donations of shower gel and dish detergent. All donations can be dropped off at United during normal office hours, or contact Wendy Seyler (570) 502-0683. As always, thank you for assisting us in branching out on our own to help us service our community better.

SYNOD ASSEMBLY: Two delegates from each church are needed to attend the 32ndAnnual Synod Assembly on Fri., June 14 & Sat., June 15 at Susquehanna University. This year’s theme is “On the Way Together: United, Supporting, Serving.” Rev. Ruben Duran will be our ELCA Churchwide representative.. This year will again be paperless. The Bulletin of Reports can be downloaded at www.uss-elca.org/assembly.

WELCAwill meet for a luncheon on Tues., June 4that Fox’s Restaurant beginning at 11:30 AM. Please contact Kay Land by June 2ndif you will be attending so reservations can be made.

SUMMER CONCERTS: Lamar Lighthouse Camp will host their summer concert series beginning on Sun., June 9. This year the concerts will be held at the Cedar Heights Brethren In Christ Church, Mill Hall due to structural issues in the Tabernacle. Below is a list of the summer schedule. All concerts begin at 7:00 PM and are FREE. A love-offering will be taken.

+A COLLECTIONwill be taken on the first Sunday of each month to benefit St. Paul’s Food Pantry.

+SAVE THE DATE – June 9th!  We celebrate YOU! A birthday party for everyone! Door prizes, drawings, a nifty trivia game, and a luncheon of soup, salad and sandwiches. Sign-ups are still open. See Cindy Bryan & plan to attend. Desserts and drinks will be provided.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:Altar Guild is looking for volunteers to assist in setting up and removing altar and communion items each week. Please contact Jean McKeague for more information if you are interested in volunteering.

COOL WHIP containers needed! Please drop off empty Cool Whip containers on the tables in the first floor hallway. We use these to transport our altar flowers each week.

ATLAR FLOWERopenings on Sun., Nov. 10th.   If you would like to sponsor flowers on this date, please contact Michele in the office.

THANK YOUfor all of your craft supply donations for Camp Mount Luther. Pastor Runser has delivered them to camp to be used in the upcoming summer season. Your support is greatly appreciated.

THANK YOUto everyone who donated to our Lenten offering. A total of $190 was received. This donation will be equally divided between Camp Kids and the Bald Eagle Presbyterian Church Prayer Shawl Ministry.

SUMMER COLLECTION:WELCA will collect items over the months of June, July & August to benefit the Women’s Center. Items needed include: paper towels, hand soap, Clorox wipes, feminine products, detergent, trash bags, kids snacks, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. Donations can be dropped off in the box located in the first floor hallway until the end of August.
